Manaslu Circuit with T-SUM valley Trekking

Overview

The Manaslu ciruit and Tsum Valley Trek is a tea house trek taking hikers footstep  to the eighth highest mountain in the world ,Mount Manaslu at (8,163m),and through the hidden valley of Tsum. Having only opened in the early 1990’s this has the feel of an exploratory trek, far off the beaten trail and far from crowds of trekkers. With average day lengths of 7 hours, it is a demanding trek and a high level of fitness is required to fully enjoy the adventure. On the Tsum Valley section of the trek, altitudes are over 3,000m and trekkers do have to cross the Larkya La at 5,160m.

The Tsum  valley is rich in Buddhist and culture, it have very many ancient  religious monasteries such as Rachen Gompa and Mu Gompa. Not just the culture, but the biodiversity is splendid as well with many forests, rivers, caves, etc. Tsum Valley is near by  Tibet. In fact the trek goes very close to the Tibetan border. On this part of the trek there is opportunity to meet Buddhist monks and nuns and visit Milarepa’s Cave.

From Larkya La there are spectacular views of icefalls and frozen lakes, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the massive Annapurna II.This is a trek offers hikers  to experience beautiful landscapes and different cultures over the course of one trip.  This trek is famous  for  stunning views of snow-capped mountains and a unique experience.
This Trekking Starts from scenic view from kathmandu to Sotikhola by Jeep/Bus,Next day you  trek through the Bank of Budi gandaki river to Machha khola to Jagat,walking through the Rhododendron and pine forest  to Lokpa, The route will have many prayer flags and Mane walls. Then you will pass by  beautiful waterfalls, and the beauty of nature within the valley. On the way, while walking you may have chance to  see the local wildlife such as the blue sheep or the Himalayan Thar. This region is very rich in Flora and FAUNA.Then continue walking  Mu Gompa then the Rachen Gompa. Then trek  to Chekkongparo,Gumba Lungdan,Ganesh Himal Base Camp  then headed back to Lokpa ,Ghap,Sama Goan,you will acclimaize at Sama Goan and go to hike Manaslu Base Camp and Birendra Tal and stay overnight at Sama Goan,then walk to Samdo,Dharmasala to pass the highest pass Larkya-Lass from where you can see beautiful sunrise in the snow-capped mountains then headed back to Bhimthang,Dharapani,you will take Bus/Jeep from Dharapani,Besi-Sahar to Kathmandu.
