Langtang Gosainkunda trekking is one of the most popular trekking destination in Langtang region. This trekking lies in a short distance to the north of Kathmandu city.Langang Gosainkunda trek is one of the most famous Nepal trekking destination for Langtang valley with Tamang culture, Holy Gosainkunda Lake, Ancient Monasteries, old Tibetan style houses, yak cheese factory , beautiful landscape, nice waterfall , and himalayan Glaciers. The trek includes Langtang valley & Holy Gosainkunda lake located at 4300m. This trekking offer an amazing lifetime experience as stand point of Himalayan views & Holy Gosainkunda lake.
You will walk through the Langtang river through dense and deep woods forest in Langtang National Park. It is declared National Park at 1976 AD. Different species of wildlife Red-Panda Listed in ( Endangered animal) Himalayan Black Bear, Himalayan Thar, Snow Leopard,Langur. The mains birds finds in Langtang National Park are Himalayan Monal, wood spine, sparrow etc. You will enjoy walking in forest including Bamboo,Rhododendron,Oak and Pine Forest with beautiful snow-capped peaks Mount Langtang Lirung (7,200m), Mount Ganesh Himal (7,600m) and Langtang-II (7,227m).
This Langtang valley trekking starts from a scenic Bus/jeep drive from a Kathmandu to Syabru-Besi. Then walking through the side of Langtang River takes us to Lama-Hotel. Next day you continue walking through Rhodedendron forest with chirping of birds to Langtang Village, then trekking further to Kyanjin Gompa, You will take a acclimatize day in Kyanjin Gompa and explore the ancient Monastries, Gomba and Cheese Factory, Next Day you will return back to Lama Hotel and continue trek to Thulo-Syabru,Chola-Pati to Gosain-Kunda, Holy Pilgrimage for Hinduism and Buddhism. It is believe that the water inside the Gosainkunda lake have a healing power to many diseases, Also you see a stone lying in the middle of lake and peoples’ believe that it is the one of the next faces of Lard Shiva (The Creator and Destroyer) then descends back to Dhunche and take a bus or Jeep to Kathmandu.
